Technology Transfer Project

The concept adopted in this proposal is that technology transfer is more than a collaboration with the industry to develop specific products and technologies with commercial potential. On the contrary, it must be viewed as a long term process caused by or resultant from a symbiotic relationship involving scientific and technical personnel, researchers and managers from the academic, industrial and government sectors. Our program incorporates mechanisms for continuous transfer of the basic and applied knowledge as it is generated, and continuous re-focusing of the Center activities to attend the society’s demand.

Also, our technology transfer proposal incorporates two basic approaches to overcoming the barrier barriers between the scientific community, the productive sectormechanisms for continuous transfer of the basic and applied knowledge as it is generated, and continuous re-focusing of the Center activities to attend the society’s demand. Also, our technology transfer proposal incorporates two basic approaches to overcoming the barrier barriers between the scientific community, the productive sector and government: Cooperation with the industrial sector, which creates products and services, and transfers them to the market; Cooperation with the governmental sector, responsible for public policies and for providing and government:
  • Cooperation with the industrial sector, which creates products and services, and transfers them to the market;
  • Cooperation with the governmental sector, responsible for public policies and for providing services for the community.
Thus, in addition to the collaboration to develop specific products, services or technologies, the program includes continuing education, joint workshops, scientific-industry-government seminars, postdoctoral fellowship jointly planned for the development of technology projects, and an active role of the private and public users in planning and supervising the Center’s activities (as, for instance, through the External Advisory Committee and other mechanisms).
